About the work
In Welkom in het bos, Dora, who has left her husband, ventures into the woods with her friend Fannie. Their search for peace turns into an absurd journey through strange figures, desires and temptations. Alex van Warmerdam combines fairy-tale imagery, dry humour and alienation in a play about loneliness and human relationships.
