About the work
Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella is the Broadway version of the musical adaptation of the Cinderella fairy tale. Ella meets Prince Topher, while this version expands the familiar story with additional characters and a broader plot concerning the kingdom.
The music is by Richard Rodgers and the lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Douglas Carter Beane wrote the new book based on Hammerstein's original book; this Broadway version premiered in 2013.
