About the work
Kookpunt is a Dutch-language musical about two very different restaurants that are pushed into competition when budget cuts hit the culinary sector. Rivalry between the teams, personal relationships and political pressure steadily raise the stakes. The story and lyrics are by Marije van den Berg, Wouter Joosen, Annie Vergouwen, Theo Vaes, Peter Wouters and Richard Mathijssen; the music and arrangements are by Thijs van Gurp.
