About the work
De Trein is a one-act wartime drama by Carl Slotboom. An older married couple are travelling by train when an unexpected stop brings back memories of a deportation train in 1943 and of the persecution they experienced as a young couple.
The play is written for four performers and has also been staged in translation outside the Netherlands.
