About this production
English Theatre Utrecht will stage Treasure Island in April 2027. The English-language adventure follows the young Jim Hawkins as he sets out in search of buried treasure and finds himself among buccaneers, squires and a mutinous ship's cook. ETU is developing the production as community theatre with volunteers from Utrecht's local and international community.
Auditions are open
English Theatre Utrecht is accepting video auditions for Treasure Island. Auditions are open regardless of age, gender or ethnicity; a good command of English is required. Submit a self-chosen monologue or text of up to two minutes through the registration form on the production page by 18 September 2026 at 23:59. ETU will notify selected applicants of callbacks by 20 September; callbacks take place on 1 and 2 October.
